Overview

As public service was my first passion, I spent the first decade of my professional life working for nongovernmental, nonprofit organizations in the sphere of human and civil rights. My work involved, but was not limited to, community engagement, advocacy, and fundraising. Below is a list of highlights from my field experience in Israel, the United Arab Emirates, and the United States (see CV for more detail ). Most notable among these was the chance to work with a team of volunteers, and in collaboration with the refugee advocacy organization HIAS Israel, to compile personal stories of asylum seekers in Israel. You can read the full compilation here. My goal is that my research will continue to bear on practice and policy in a way that will positively impact the lives of ordinary people.
